No matter how bad things may be in your life, just remember that things could always get worse: you could live in Alabama. Today's gem out of Alabama -- a recent string of mysterious fires in baptist churches appears to have been solved with the arrest of two students at Birmingham-Southern College and another at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. The students claim that they intended the first five fires as "a joke." Four subsequent fires were intended as a diversion to throw off investigators.

"A federal source said the apparent motive was that the three students just liked to set and watch fires."
